Branson has so much to offer.  Not only does it have ample entertainment opportunities, but it has many recreational outlets, also.  Branson is situated by two large lakes:  Table Rock and Lake Taneycomo.  Cabins clustered around the lakes offer attractive views and access to fishing and watersports.

I took a photo of Bojojr taking a photo of the dam.

And here is his photo.  I really wanted to visit the dam and take the tour offered, but it warned of a number of stairs involved; I was afraid my legs wouldn't make it.  We'll have to return.  If we scheduled the dam on our last day and my legs blew out, it wouldn't affect the rest of our trip.  Silly legs.

Me:  The information warns of lots of stairs.  I hate that, but I think I need to sit this one out.
Bojojr:  That's okay.  There's plenty of other things to do.  I was looking forward to taking the dam tour, buying a dam T-shirt, getting some dam souvenirs, and taking some dam photographs, but we'll find something else to do.

Being 12 never grows old.

To the right is the Branson Belle, the largest paddlewheel steamboat in the United States on a landlocked lake (enough clarifiers for you?). The boat is designed to be as historically accurate as possible to emulate the showboats of the 1880s that once cruised North American rivers.  At 265 feet long, it is larger than most of the showboats of that earlier era.  Branson Belle offers lunch and dinner cruises, complete with entertainment.  Of course, in Branson, everything comes with entertainment!  We didn't visit Branson Belle this trip-- it is low on my priorities of things to do--but it might be fun to try it once just to say we did.

Bojojr and Bumberjean walked down toward the dam to take some photos, and he snapped this of Bumberjean with the dam in the background.

While they were photographing the dam, I captured Bojojr helping Bumberjean down from the rock.  "Your hand, milady."  Aren't they cute together?

LOL. Love the convo. I probably would have said the same thing. We have a thing in this family of driving past dams and saying "Dam!" and even tho you know it's coming, we still do it anyway :P

It's nice seeing men look after their women :) It's even nicer to be one of the looked after ones :)

Our family convos sound suspiciously alike!

I love "catching" moments like that. So sweet.

It was hot and humid--in the 90s while we were there (34°C), but it was cooler than back home. Still, a dip in the water would have been heavenly! We were on our way to our dinner reservations so that was out of the question.

It was in the 90s with high humidity--the water was very inviting! However, we had dinner reservations.

The Ozarks are beautiful with their rolling hills, green tree thickly growing everywhere, and blue waters. It's especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves turn color.

LOL.

When my family and I went to the Buffalo Bill Dam, I think my mom was the only one who didnt indulge in the dam jokes.

...And I bought a dam pen. ;)
